Seeing Ghosts - March 2024 Babies | Forums | What to Expect (2024)

I’m convinced there’s an old lady ghost in our house. The woman who owned our house before we bought it was named Rose and she passed away here. My son has always followed things that we can’t see around the room with his eyes. We’ve seen shadows and things like that. Our faucets sometimes let a gush of water out on their own without being turned on. I’ve had two noteworthy experiences.

1. When my son was probably 13-14 months old I fell asleep on the couch and my husband fell asleep in bed. I heard our son cry on the monitor and I sat up and checked it but he had stopped crying and I could see the rocking chair moving in the corner of the screen and could see my sons head coming in and out of frame like he was being cradled. I assumed my husband had already went in and was rocking him back to sleep. And then I heard him snoring from the bedroom. I shot up and ran into my sons room and he was sitting in bed smiling at the rocking chair. I did not like that and I told Rose to please not touch my child, I can handle it ��

2. This was recently, probably about a month ago. We had family over and my son was up later than normal. We told him it was time for bed and he started throwing a fit. About 5 seconds into his fit he full on stops, looks up at the ceiling, stands up and walks into the living room, points at our clock (which is Roman numerals not numbers) and says “It’s nine o’clock now.” My husband and I just stared at each other and he held up his phone to show me and it was exactly 9pm. He quietly walked into his room and went to sleep. That one creeped us out real bad. But I’m pretty sure Ol’ Rose just had our back and told him something along the lines of “It’s 9 o’clock, stop pitching a fit and go to bed”. Now every night when we say it’s bedtime he checks the clock and it doesn’t matter what time it actually is he says, “Yep it’s 9 o’clock, it’s bedtime.” So that’s nice. Thanks Rose.
